How to manually uninstall WebAgent on Windows 2008 if the uninstall program fails?

Resolution

Solution:

  1. Remove webagent folder from the install location.

  2. Remove the ISAPI Filters - Handlers referencing the webagent

  3. Type regedit in Run.

    Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netegrity
    Delete Siteminder Webagent if present.

  4. Delete Zero G Registry present in C:/Program Files<x86>.

  5. Restart the machine.

We can check why the uninstaller is failing on your machine.

  1. Run the debug mode of the uninstaller: When you start the uninstaller press the ctrl key and keep it down to open a command window that will contains debug information of the uninstaller

  2. Sent us the output from the uninstall. Its located in

    C:\Program Files(x86)\netegrity\webagent\install_config_info\nete-wa-uninstall
    >> add : C:\Program Files(x86)\netegrity\webagent\install_config_info\lib to the path
