How to enable debug for Spectrum Online Backup

Enable debug for the Spectrum OLB model when the backups don't run or fail to run.

The Online Backup didn't run.

The Online Backup failed to run.

Environment

All supported Network Observability DX NetOps Spectrum releases

Resolution

These steps are to be taken on the Primary SS server.

Online Backup Debug is easily enabled on the VNM model within the OneClick web UI.

1. Within OneClick, go to VNM model of the same landscape where the Online Backup issue exists
   
   
2. Go to Information -> Dynamic Debugging
   
   
3. Enable Online Backup debug
   
   
   
   
4. The debug output is written to the $SPECROOT/SS/VNM.OUT file
   

Additional Information

Also check the $SPECROOT/SS/RCPD.OUT log file for additional information. It is found on both primary and secondary SS hosts.
