What is the meaning of DADS Plus CURRENT STATUS: CRQ when viewing the resource online?

Cause

CRQ is abbreviated terminology for 'CLOSE REQUESTED'. This is a CICS FILE CONTROL status that DADS Plus is merely reporting to the user.

A CEMT command issued on the same file will show 'CLOSE REQUESTED' which indicates that there has been a request to close the file but for some reason the file is locked.

CICS is going to deny any further requests to access this file due to the pending CLOSE. This is not a DADS Plus problem and determining the cause of the lock on the file is outside the current scope of DADS Plus.

Resolution

Determine what task has a lock on the file in question and resolve it.
