Issue/Introduction

Description:

After running the ENF utility (ENFUTIL/ENFDBLST) to convert an r11 database to the new compatible PARMLIB statements, the following errors are seen in the ENF joblog:

 CAS9214I - CA-ENF Command: EVENT(TASKEND,ACT)
 CAS9216E - Invalid command - nonexistent event
 CAS9240I - EVENT - Command complete
 CAS9214I - CA-ENF Command: EVENT(TASKEND,NOREC)
 CAS9216E - Invalid command - nonexistent event
 CAS9240I - EVENT - Command complete

Environment

Release:
Component: ENF

Resolution

Solution:

The TASKEND event was removed from the base ENF DCM module, CAS9DCM0, because it was found to potentially cause some orphan CSA storage. Since no CA Solution required this particular event it was decided to remove this event from ENF processing (see QO75824). Due to this fact, there can be no EVENT statements defined for this event. The existence of the CAS9216E messages in this case are not going to cause any functional problems.
