Issue/Introduction

Trying to delete a connection in a Spectrum Topology view results in an error that you do not have permission

When you try to delete the connection you receive a message:

The following pipe(s) will be deleted:

  Container1 -> Container2: 2 resolved connections(s)

After you confirm to delete you receive the error:

You do not have permission to delete the following connections:

  null -> null
   ...

Environment

Release: Any
Component:

Cause

Corrupt connection in the Spectrum database

Resolution

  1. For the two containers in question, select one of them and select all the models within it.

  2. Cut all of the model and then paste them back into the same container. This will force a recalculation of the connections and the bad links should be removed.
