Issue/Introduction

The distributed installation fails on Solaris missing SUNWeu80s and/or SUNWeuluf. The following is an example of the error you may see:

SPECTRUM: Warning:
SPECTRUM: The following subsets are missing or have missing or corrupt pkgin for files:
SPECTRUM: SUNWeu8os
SPECTRUM: SUNWeuluf
SPECTRUM:
SPECTRUM: Please contact your system administrator to correct this problem.
SPECTRUM: Installation complete
Install Summary:
SPECTRUM: Installation failure

 

Environment

Release: Spectrum 10.2 and below installed on Solaris

Resolution

SUNWeu80s and SUNWeuluf are only required if installing Spectrum Report Manager (SRM) on Solaris.

If you are not installing SRM on this system, for example, a SpectroSERVER or OneClick only install, add the following to the distributed install host (HII) file for the remote host you are running the install on:

   exclude_parts=SA-RPT-MGR  

Else, install SUNWeu80s and SUNWeuluf and then re-install.
