Issue/Introduction

Description:

A FILE_TRIGGER job type causes the Agent to issue the message: "File monitor logon functionality unavailable on this platform".

Solution:

The message "File monitor logon functionality unavailable on this platform" indicates that the File Trigger jobs in the UNIX and Linux won't work with the "monitored as a user" option while it is possible that the job was submitted to do the monitoring on behalf of other user account. Please consult your scheduler/manager documentation for more details on setting up the File Trigger jobs.

In z/Linux agent, the file monitoring as a functionality is available and is same as with other Linux and UNIX agents.
