SystemEdge agent service does not start after installation on Citrix Server

Issue/Introduction

If you receive the following error after installing the SystemEdge agent "Service 'CA SystemEDGE' (SysEDGE) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."

Resolution

Follow the below steps to workaround this behavior.

  1. Uninstall the existing SystemEdge agent

  2. Set the environment variable AWSCOMM_DIR=C:\



  3. Reinstall SystemEdge. You will notice the agent will now start up.
