Issue/Introduction

Description:

IBM's next generation of mainframe hardware --- the zEnterprise EC12 (or z12, for short) --- was announced on August 28, with a general availability listed as September 19, 2012. Is there any support needed for these zNext processors?

Solution:

CA has thoroughly tested the CA ACF2 family of products (ACF2 base, ACF2/CICS, ACF2/IMS, ACF WEB and LDAP for ACF2) and none of these components have had any hardware-related issues. Our products tolerate the new hardware without requiring any special fixes.
