Description:
Using Clarity XML Open Gateway (XOG) to perform a XOG write action of project Instance rights for a user is causing an issue with the end-user trying to access the project.
The XOG write action is successful. The user name displays under the listing for 'Access to this Project', however the user cannot see the project in the Project List View and gets an "unauthorized" message when accessing the URL directly. If we grant them instance rights via the UI , it works fine.
Steps to Reproduce:
Expected Result: The end-user should have the ability to see and access the specific project(s).
Actual Result: The project is not listed on the Project List View
Solution:
Workaround:
The XOG write action is not correctly creating the record in the security access table. Performing the assignment of project instance rights to the end-user through the Clarity Application UI correctly creates the record. If you have the need for a workaround due to the volume of data where using the Clarity UI is not feasible, please contact CA Technical Support for assistance and refer to this technical article.
