Issue/Introduction

Recommendations for anti-virus software configuration on the CA Business Intelligence (CABI) server are:

  1. The following processes should be excluded:

    AAAnalytics.exe
    AADashboard.exe
    SvcMgr.exe
    CMS.exe
    ConnectionServer.exe
    ConnectionServer.exe*32
    crcache.exe
    crproc.exe
    crproc.exe *32
    crystalras.exe*32
    EventServer.exe
    fileserver.exe
    JobServer.exe
    JobServerChild.exe
    sia.exe
    WIReportServer.exe
    xccache.exe
    xcproc.exe
    java.exe
    tomcat.exe
    svnserve.exe*32

Note that not all processes may exist depending on CABI configuration.

  2. The following directories should be excluded from monitoring/scanning:

    %INSTALLDIR%\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86
    %INSTALLDIR%\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win64_x64
    %INSTALLDIR%\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\logging
    %INSTALLDIR%\Tomcat\bin

  3. Although, for performance reasons, it is recommended that active scanning of these files and directories be excluded during usual hours and during report schedules, it is still recommended that a full scan of the system be run during off peak hours/maintenance hours.
