Issue/Introduction

CA Web Viewer users may find themselves unable to log in and use the application because the CA DRAS STC is blocked / unresponsive after ENF restart / recycle.

Environment

z/OS

Cause

CA ENF recycle lost the CA DRAS registration. 

Resolution

1) F ENF,CCI(CLEARALL) 
2) RESTART of ENF STC 
3) RESTART of CADRAS STC 
Afterward, Web Viewer connections should be functional. 
 

Additional Information

Recycling DRAS is usually the key. When a DRAS task starts, it "registers" itself with CCI (which runs under ENF). When ENF is recycled (which should also recycle CCI and all CCI sub-tasks), the DRAS "registration" might get lost. Recycling DRAS will cause it to re-register. 
Going forward, if ENF is recycled (not part of a normal IPL) then the DRAS task should be recycled as well, AFTER ENF and CCI are back up.
