Issue/Introduction

Edit the RecEngine.exe.config file located at C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\ITAM\Hardware Engine.
Check that the following entries contain the correct user id and password

<add key="WebServicePassword" value="w0N2ZYV6RAt317GmO6sLnQ==" />
Verify the password is encrypted correctly, using the password encryption utility.

Unzip the SWCMPasswordUtility.zip file from the CA Software Compliance Cumulative fix.
(The latest cumulative fix can be found at https://support.ca.com/irj/portal/anonymous/phpsupcontent?contentID={DE7218A2-564D-4547-9E01-8500B597F932)

Close and save the file.
Stop and start the CA Asset Portfolio Management - HW Reconciliation Engine service.
