Issue/Introduction

Error Message When Changing the IP Address of a VM in Virtual Host Manager (VHM):

The update to attribute Network Address was disallowed due to a rule implemented in the server.

Cause

This is functioning as designed.

Resolution

The Virtual Host Manager is responsible for the hosts that have been discovered. Therefore, the attribute cannot be changed. In case the IP address is incorrect then this should be fixed at the source and thereafter the change should be picked up by the Virtual Host Manager. 

If the ip address at the source has changed, then the existing VM model in Spectrum will need to be deleted and VHM should successfully rediscover server:
