Issue/Introduction

Description:

Admin UI hangs on submitting tasks when creating Agents/Policies pointing to SiteMinder/adminui/server/default/conf/bootstrap/vfs.xml with below error in the boot.log:

at org.jboss.deployers.spi.DeploymentException.rethrowAsDeploymentException(DeploymentException.java:49)

Solution:

Run the Administrative UI in compatibility mode to submit the forms.

  1. For Windows 2008 64 bit and 2008 R2, customers must use at least WebSphere 7.0.3 or later version of 7.0.x
  2. Browser support for the administrative UI

    1. Internet Explorer supported with IE8 or higher *** (IE9 is supported in compatibility mode ) *****
    2. Firefox - supported with version 10.0.2 and higher
    3. Google Chrome supported with version 17.0.063.56 or higher

How to set the Compatibility mode?

Please follow this steps :

  1. From IE 9 Browser, open
  2. Go to "Tools" Menu and click on "Compatibility View"
