Issue/Introduction

CA$F852E pppppppp LINK TO mmmmmmmm FAILED when changing ROBSCR from NO to YES.  Running Vtape as well.

Resolution

1st Part:

You can resolve this in 2 ways.

1.  Add the  Vtape library to link list or as a STEPLIB in the TMSCLEAN step.

2.  Using TMSUPDTE remove the ROBTY of VCAVTAPE from each of the volsers that belong to  Vtape.  

     VOL xxxxxx-vvvvvv,NODSN,NOCHAIN

     REP ROBTY=HEXZEROS

     REP ROBID=HEXZEROS

In either case you should still run the programs provided by Vtape to sync Vtape and CA 1.   For resolution 1 you should run the sync once a month and for resolution 2 you should run it every day.

2nd Part:

How do you locate the Vtape library name?

If this is a STEPLIB, please go to your Vtape started task, it should be in that started task. If it is not there, you will need to look in your LINKLIST library but you will have to know the name. We won't know what the name will be on our end. You could also contact your system administrator who should know what the name is.
