S0D3 abends in Opera

Issue/Introduction

0D3 abends even with REUSASID(NO) or your organization requires the use of REUSASID(YES).

This happens after an upgrade.

Cause

The problem that caused this abend was that Opera used basic PC routines. This type of PC routines have problems with programs reusing ASIDs and result inS0D3 abends. The PC routines were converted to stacking type in PTFs RO12125 and RO12126 which should resolve the problem.

Resolution

PTFs  RO12125 and RO12126  solve this problem.

Problem may be circumvented by setting REUSASID(NO) in DIAGxx member in SYSx.PARMLIB. However, REUSASID may be set to yes by START commands with the REUSASID=YES parameter.
