Issue/Introduction

Describes the out-of-the-box system accounts generated during the installation process of CA Service Desk Manager and explains their purpose and usage within the application.

Environment

Release : CA Service Desk Manager 

12.x, 14.1 and 17.x

Resolution

These are system generated user accounts.  Each user is used by Service Desk Manager to perform tasks like closing/generating/editing a ticket for integration purposes.

In summary, here is what each user is used for:

1: System_AHD_generated: Used to execute CA Service Desk Manager ticket related functions
2: System_AM_User: CA Client Automation (ITCM) integration
3: System_Argis_User: CA IT Asset Manager (Argis) integration
4: System_CAWF_User: CA Classic Workflow integration
5: System_CMDB_Visualizer_User: CA CMDB Visualizer integration
6: System_MA_User: CA Client Automation (ITCM) integration
7: System_NSM_generated: CA NSM integration
8: System_SA_User: CA Service Desk Manager Support Automation integration
9: System_SD_User: CA Client Automation (ITCM) Software Delivery integration
10: System_Bot_User: CA Service Desk Manager Virtual Analyst (VA)/Chatbot integration
11: System_CASM_Admin: CA Service Catalog integration
12: TelemetryAdmin: Telemetry Service User  support Broadcom Telemetry and Usage Analytics features. Note: This user was added in Service Desk Manager 17.2 and will be present in all versions thereafter
13: System Administrator: Primary system administrator account in CA SDM, Possed unrestricted access to all                   modules, configurations, and objects.
14: System_cis_user: Used by CA Service Desk Manager’s CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and related components.
15: System_anonymous: Used when a guest or unauthenticated session interacts with the system.

 

Additional Information

The System_AHD_generated user should NOT be inactivated and should have a role that does not have a data partition assigned.

The others can be inactivated if integration with that product/module is not used.
