Issue/Introduction

Description:

Force rediscovery of all SNMP profiles in RA in cases such as enterprise-wide SNMP community string changes. This article only applies to RA 8.2 and 8.3.

Solution:

In order to force the NFM to rediscover the SNMP profiles of all routers, the device has to have an invalid profile, no poll errors, no future poll retries, and a reboot time older than 1 day or a reboot time greater than last refresh time. Also, the last profile update time in Parameter Descriptions must be greater than the last discovery time for the router.

Basically:

mysql nfm
update routers set profileid=0, firstpollerror=0, nextpollretry=0, lastrefresh=unix_timestamp()-(3600*25), lastdiscovery=0;

Restart the NetQoS Netflow Interpreter service.

This will cause the Interpreter to rediscover profiles of routers with active data.
