IDMSINFO is the address space used for the Cross Memory feature in IDMS 19.0 and later.
Stopping it can result in:
IEF352I ADDRESS SPACE UNAVAILABLE
Release: All supported releases.
When starting this address space, the following command must be used:
S IDMSINFO,REUSASID=YES
Omitting the REUSASID=YES parameter will result in IEF3521 ADDRESS SPACE UNAVAILABLE when stopping the IDMSINFO address space, and the ASID used will not be reusable until IPL.
NOTE: The reusable ASID feature is activated on a particular z/OS system by specifying REUSASID(YES) in PARMLIB member DIAGxx.
Not coding REUSASID(YES) means the reusable ASID feature is not used, even if REUSASID=YES is specified on the start command and the same problem described here will occur.
The IDMSINFO load module is never referenced in an IDMS CV. PTFs that replace only modules in IDMSINFO do not require a CV cycle in order to be enabled. Only IDMSINFO must be cycled.
