TSS9117E VSAM WRONG FILE IS USED received after reallocating the Top Secret BDAM security file.
A new VSAM File was not allocated along with the new BDAM File.
In the older release of Top Secret, r12 and below, the security file used to be composed of one BDAM file.
After r14 and above, the Top Secret security uses two files as the security file.
Logically, both the BDAM and VSAM files are treated as one file. The digital certificates and SDT type records were moved to the VSAM file because of the faster indexing.
When you create the Top Secret security file (BDAM and VSAM), they are 'married' to each other.
This means the BDAM/VSAM security file cannot be mixed and matched with another BDAM/VSAM security files.
Top Secret checks that the 'married' pair is being used. If not, you will get the TSS9117E VSAM WRONG FILE IS USED during TSS initialization.
So, if you copy the BDAM part of the security file, you will also need to copy the VSAM part of the security file.
