When trying PDM_PUBLISH, getting error 15 - SQL Code=1939 - Can't spawn "cmd.exe".

Issue/Introduction

 

Error in PDM_PUBLISH:

ERROR 15 [Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server] [ SQL Code=1939 SQL
State=2000] It is not possible to create index 'z_xx_yy_ww' because it is not associated to the schema.
Can't spawn "cmd.exe": Bad file descriptor at .\pdm_publish.pl line 350,CH> line 9.
AHD04748: sqlbuild failed to z_xx_yy_ww table.

 

Environment

CA Service  Management 17.3.X

Resolution

 

To fix the above error, we need to change the "ServiceDesk" database user in MS SQL Server to have db_ddladmin and db_securityadmin privileges under mdb => Security => ServiceDesk => properties => General => Role members.

Save the changes to the "ServiceDesk" user and then rerun pdm_publish.
