Issue/Introduction

When trying to validate a newly added WAAE server in the WCC Configuration tab, getting error:

Error: E190102 hostname (monitoring id validation) - Internal exception encountered: E180011 Login failed using: User=username Password=<hidden>.

Monitor ID 'username' exists on the WAAE server and has been added to the autosys_secure users@host setting with the correct password.

Environment

WCC 11.3.x, 11.4, UNIX/Linux

Cause

Password for Monitor ID account defined in EEM was different than the password for Monitor ID defined on the WAAE server. As WAAE has been configured to use EEM security, the Monitor ID validation will be performed in EEM and not on the WAAE server.

Resolution

Make sure that password specified for Monitor ID user in WCC Configuration matches the password specified for Monitor ID user in EEM.
