Upgrade Portal from 1.6.2 to 14.0 fails with message "Upgrade failed - stop the application" (JBoss)

Issue/Introduction

Upgrade process fails after completing the procedure and starting the application server.

The error message in the log states :

"Context initialization failed: java.lang.RuntimeException: Upgrade failed - stop the application"

Environment

Identity Portal 1.6.2 to version 14.0

Cause

Version 14.0 of Identity Portal does not allow modules of type NONE anymore.

 

 

Resolution

In order to overcome this, simply modify the modules to be of type USER_ (or any other type) and try again.
