Issue/Introduction

"IMS User Abend 0688" in the upper right corner of the File Master for IMS Browse or Edit panel (U0688).

 

Resolution

If you see an "IMS User abend 0688" error message in the upper right corner of the CA File Master for IMS Browse or Edit panel, notice the "IMS Environment" name (IMSABMP in this sample):

and go to the 0.5 SETUP panel, select IMSABMP and check the "BMP Region":

Please check:

-          Is, IMSA in this sample, a valid IMS Region?

-          Is it up and available?

-          Is File Master for IMS running on the same LPAR?
