Issue/Introduction

Trying to allocate new database by running SARDBASE ADDDS and received the following error: SARDBI01 Data file allocation failed for ####.VIEW.RMA1 - ERROR=9700 INFO=0000

Environment

• View®
• OM View for z
• Output Management View® for z/OS

Cause

The ACS routine had been set incorrectly for these particular datasets on the specific volumes.

Resolution

The ACS routing will not allow you to create a dataset with the letter I in the dataset name, remove the I and it will run without a problem.
