Issue/Introduction

1) After IPL, the RESOLVER ACID receives ABEND=SEC6 U0000 REASON=0F01C008.

2) The same  ABEND=SEC6 U0000 REASON=0F01C008 has also can occur with a newly created ACID trying to SAS V9.1.3.

Environment

Release: TOPSEC00200-15-Top Secret-Security
Component:

Resolution

1) With z/OS 1.13 and above, the RESOLVER userid now requires an OMVS segment.

Here is information on setting up Resolver.

 TSS CREATE(RESOLVER) TYPE(USER) DEPT(dept) NAME('Resolver Region Acid')
     PASS(xxxx,0)
 TSS ADD(RESOLVER) FAC(STC)
 TSS ADD(RESOLVER) UID(nn) GROUP(OMVSGRP) DFLTGRP(OMVSGRP) HOME(/)
 TSS MODIFY OMVSTABS

The RESOLVER acid will need access to all resources accessed at startup of the region. Or, if you do not want to permit the accesses, you can

add bypass attributes like NODSNCHK, NORESCHK, etc.

  TSS ADD(STC) PROCNAME(RESOLVER) ACID(RESOLVER)
TSS ADD(dept) IBMFAC(BPX.DAEM) (if not already owned)
   TSS PERMIT(RESOLVER) IBMFAC(BPX.DAEMON) ACCESS(READ)

2) For the newly created ACID trying to SAS V9.1.3, be sure the ACID has the minimum OMVS fields of UID, GROUP, and DFLTGRP. The DFLTGRP must be in the list of GROUPs on the ACID.
