Issue/Introduction

We are trying to upgrade Process Automation from 4.2 SP1 to 4.3 SP1 but the installer stops with below error:

 An error Occurred: java.io.EOFException: Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream

 Error Log: C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\Install4Error3868170969606122553.log

Cause

This error can be seen due to various reasons however following has been identified as the major reason.

 

Process Automation media being used for the install is either incomplete or got corrupted during extract.

 

 

 

 

Resolution

Download the Process Automation media again from support site and copy it to the PAM server locally then run the installer.

Additional Information

Note:1. Make sure the user performing the install is added to local administrators group

        2. If possible stop anti-virus service until install is complete
