Issue/Introduction

 During the CA Data Content Discovery Controller startup, I see an error similar to the following error: 'DCEKEY length out of range, Max=230, Actual=8', How do I address the error?

Resolution

he DCE segment values need to be defined to the target ID. Run the FEYDCEKP job to define these values.

Follow these steps:

1. Stop the CA Data Content Discovery Controller address space:

   P DCDCONTL

2. Retrieve the FEYDCEKP sample job from runtime_hlq.CFEYJCL, edit the job to define the segment values to the target ID, and submit it.

   Note: For more information about the FEYDCEKP job, see Populate a DCE Key Segment to Your ESM under Configure the Product.

3. Restart the CA Data Content Discovery Controller address space:

   S DCDCONTL

4. If problems persist, contact Broadcom Support.
