Issue/Introduction

All discovered Cisco ACI Fabric devices are displayed as one device on Unified Service Manager.

Environment

Release: CNMSPP99000-8.47-Unified Infrastructure Mgmt-Server Pack-- On Prem
Component:

discovery_server 8.0 or above.

Cause

Default MAC Address of Cisco ACI fabric is "<mac address>". If user does not change the value, discovery_server probe will make all Cisco ACI fabrics be correlated and displayed as one device on Unified Service Manager.

Resolution

User can set the MAC address "<mac address>" to be excluded from discovery correlation rule.

Here is the instruction.

1. Open Admin Console, then open discovery_server RAW Configuration dialog.

2. Add "<mac address>" for /correlation/mac_address/excluded_mac_addresses key. eg, excluded_mac_addresses = "<mac address>,<mac address>".

3. Click [Apply] button on the discovery_server RAW Configuration dialog.

4. Restart discovery_server probe, then check the behavior.
