Single wildcard qualifier in the data set name during scan creation does not include all the data sets

Issue/Introduction

When I use a single wildcard qualifier in the data set name (for example, DCD.*) during scan creation, the scan results do not include all the data sets that I expect to see, How so I include all the data sets?

Resolution

The single wildcard qualifier limits the data set matches to those data sets that use only two qualifiers.

For example, DCD.PUBLIC matches the criteria but DCD.PUBLIC.SCAN does not. Try using two wildcard qualifiers for the data set name to broaden the matches (for example, DCD.**).
