Issue/Introduction

XCOM product maintenance is available using Broadcom’s standardized methods for delivering mainframe product maintenance.

Environment

XCOM™ Data Transport® for z/OS 12.0

Resolution

You have multiple options to apply maintenance to XCOM and other Broadcom mainframe products. See Mainframe Common Maintenance Procedures. To summarize:

1. You can apply the maintenance using z/OSMF.
2. Regular SMP/E
3. SMP/E Internet Service Retrieval
4. CARS

Specific to XCOM

If you are behind on XCOM maintenance or have not applied any maintenance to XCOM for z/OS 12.0:

You can download the following fixes,LU04719 CONTINUOUS DELIVERY LEVEL SET 12.0.00 and LU04743 CONTINUOUS DELIVERY LEVEL SET 12.0.01 and that will bring your XCOM to level set 12.0.1:

1. Apply the above 2 solutions and it will apply all the maintenance BELOW those fixes.
2. Once you apply the fixes you can then download all the fixes above those fixes and apply them.
