Issue/Introduction

The SpectroSERVER has reached a Hard Disk threshold, generating event 0x119d3:

VNM SpectroSERVER's hard disk has exceeded the Threshold. (0xfa00000) 0x119d3

Environment

Release: Any
Component:

Cause

Due to the varying differences of Spectrum installs where the number of models and amount of events can fluctuate from system to system, the specific amount of Hard Disk space required for each installation varies.

There may be circumstances where the available HD space can be expanded but approvals are required first. In the meantime, the Event Warnings can be reduced by adjusting the threshold values which trigger the Event.

The Threshold value is managed by an OOB SpectroWATCH which is applied to the VNM model.

Resolution

You can modify the thresholds by doing the following:

1. Locate the VNM model via Explorer tab or Locator tab

2. Scroll down on the Information tab and expand the “Threshold and Watches” subview

3. Find the DiskFull_ref and DiskFull_reset Watches

4. Select one of the watches and click the Edit icon (glasses with a pencil)

5. The threshold value is set within the Expression field

6. Adjust as necessary

Be sure that the DiskFull_reset Watch Expression value is always LOWER than the DiskFull_ref Watch Expression value
