What are the new features and enhancements of Endevor r15.1?
When upgrading CA Endevor, customers can jump one or more versions and go directly to the last version of Endevor.
If upgrading from version older, it is recommended to review the Release Notes for all intermediate versions.
This document gives the list of the New Features and Enhancements for r15.1 and provide the release information guide for further explanations.

Resolution
CA SCM for Mainframe r15.1 introduces enhancements, as well as additional features. A brief description of each new feature and enhancement appears next. Further details are provided in the individual guides that make up the documentation set.

The following major enhancements are included in R15.1:
Customization table changes
- Several changes appear in the optional features table (ENCOPTBL). Check the detail available in the release guide.
Package Ship utility
- Packages containing UNIX System Services (USS) supported files (HFS, zFS, and NFS) can be shipped.
Eclipse-Based UI
- The Eclipse-Based UI has been enhanced to support the CA Endevor SCM Move and Generate actions. In addition, you can set a timeout value for the AXIS2 connection to timeout action requests.
Web Services
- You can use an existing installation of Apache Tomcat or install and configure the Tomcat server included with CA Common Services. A Tomcat server is not provided with the CA Endevor SCM installation files.
ELIB Support for Z/OS VSAM extended addressability
- The ELIB data set format supports z/OS VSAM extended addressability for VSAM data sets.
BSTCOPY processor utility
- BSTCOPY is redesigned to make it more efficient.
Reports
- Minor reformatting changes have been applied to some reports.
