Issue/Introduction

Issue :

While trying to access the vCenter with the Xceedium Browser after all an error is returned in the browser.

Environment

Release:
Component: CAPAMX

Environment:

Privileged Access Manager 2.6.2

Resolution

Solution:

We have seen various configuration issues causing the above symptom and would like to present some general steps how accomplish the setup for Learn Mode/Web SSO configuration for vSphere 6.

1. Create the device for vCenter server using its Fully Qualified Domain Name in the Address field (IP will not work due to the fact that the underlying SSL certificate is referencing the FQDN of the Server).

2. Create the service for vCenter Web SSO with port 443 which is the standard communication port of the vCenter Server-System (Do not use port 9443 which is the communication port of the vSphere Web Client HTTPS).

3. Launch URL in service must be:

    https://<Local IP>:<First Port>/vsphere-client
