Issue/Introduction

Issue:
The default style of the manager field inside an account template isn't a field that text can be entered into. The field needs to be mapped to a custom variable.

Environment

Release:
Component: IDMGR

Resolution

*** Steps to do after all attribute mapping is completed (Mapping from IM to Provisioning needs to be completed prior to this) ***

1) Inside IDM go to roles and tasks > Admin Tasks > Modify Admin Task

2) Search for “Modify Active Directory Account Template” hit select

3) Proceed to the tabs tab and hit the pencil for the “users” profile

4) Click “browse” next to the screen field and COPY “Modify Active Directory Account Template – User”

** This step here is crucial to press copy other you will not be able to edit this screen definition.

5) Modify the fields “Name” and “Tag” to something different IE Name – “Modify Active Directory Account Template - User2” and Tag – “ModifyActiveDirectoryAccountTemplateUser2”.

6) Hit the pencil next to the attribute “Manager” and change the Style to say “Text” and press Apply.

7) Press ok > Select > (Verify the new Screen definition is filled in) then hit ok > submit

8) Verify the account template for Active Directory now uses the manager field as a text box and should appear as below. Endpoints > Manage Account Templates > Modify Account Template and search for your active directory account template. On the User tab you can now see the manager field as a text box and can be labeled as the custom attribute.
