Issue/Introduction

Why does PDSMCICS record a member on DFHRPL when the member who has the same name on PLA is accessed ?

Customer has tested PDSMAN PLA access and recording last ref date on CICS by PDSMCICS. The test results were not as it was expected. When a member on LPA is accessed, another member who has the same name on DFHRPL is recorded as ACCESSED.

Environment

Release: PDSMAN PDS Library Management 7.7

Resolution

This is a PDSMCICS design. When a member on LPA is accessed, a USE COUNT on CICS is increased. PDSMCICS issues Multiple-BLDL once to members on DFHRPL who have USE COUNT greater than 1. When a member with the same name exists on LPA and DFHRPL, the member on DFHRPL is recorded as ACCESSED by Multiple-BLDL from PDSMCICS.
