Issue/Introduction

Introduction/Summary:

You want to change the logging script name to easily manage your scripts.

Background:

For a new defined logging script, CA Vantage allocates a new member into the LOGSCR PDS.

Environment:

z/OS

Instructions:

To rename a logging script you need to:

1. Identify your current logging script name, to do that:

In Windows Client Object Tree expand "Automation and Logging" then in "All Scripts Loaded" object, you can identify the logging script name to rename.

2. On z/OS navigate to your HLQ.**.LOGSCR PDS, locate and rename the logging script you want.

New change will take effect after that CA Vantage Automation Component is restarted or after CA Vantage is stopped and restarted.

Additional Information:

CA Vantage Automation Component can be restarted by issuing the following commands:

F SAMS,AUTO,STOP=LOG

F SAMS,AUTO,START=LOG

As always, please contact CA Technologies support for CA Vantage if you have further questions.
