Symptom:
CA DADS Plus for CICS has a feature that allows the user to modify the CICS DFHRPL concatenation. In order to change the DFHRPL the user is required to add DD statement // DD DDNAME=MDFYRPL to the CICS startup JCL. When the // DD DDNAME=MDFYRPL and CICS is started the client noticed the following warning message in the CICS Log
15.27.22 JOB25556 IEF677I WARNING MESSAGE(S) FOR JOB CICS67 ISSUED
Environment:
Z/OS
CICS
Cause:
This message is being generated by the IBM JES Interpreter. The IBM message is not very informative and does not explain why this message is being generated by the JES Interpreter. You may want to contact IBM to see if they can explain why this message is being generated.
Work Around:
This message is a warning message and it does not have any impact on the CA DADS Plus for CICS DFHRPL feature. We have no report problems on our system for this warning message. If you search your LPAR SYSTEM LOG you will most likely see many IEF677I messages being generated for different jobs that have run on the LPAR. From searches on the web for the IEF677I message we can see other clients have encountered the same message and seems to point back to how JES is configured on the LPAR. Please open a case with IBM to see if they can explain why this message is being generated and if it can be suppressed.
