Upgade install from 16.0 to 19.0, looking for TOOLS VARBLIST.

Issue/Introduction

Question:

Upgrading from release 16.0 to 19.0. There is no separate IDMS 19.0 VARBLIST for the TOOLS products to be installed as in previous releases of IDMS.  Why is this option missing?

Answer:

Yes, there is only 1 VARBLIST in release 19.0. The TOOLS products are part of the primary install now, instead of a separate install.

There are many changes to the IDMS installation process from 16.0 to 19.0;

in that, we've simplified the install package. Instead of a huge number of FMIDs.

Also we deliver every IDMS and IDMS tools

products during the install, and you then control what is used via a PRODUCT INTENT module (RHDCPINT). We no longer have to worry about PRODUCT AUTHORIZATION sheets (passwords) as the products are monitored via licensing (LMPKEYs) when you first set up your system via CARIM and the CA LMP (License Management Program).
