LaunchAnywhere ERROR: "Windows error 2 occurred while loading the Java VM" Installing XCOM Gateway

Issue/Introduction

When the  XCOM Gateway 12 installer is launched, the installation fails at initialization with the message "LaunchAnywhere Error", "Windows error 2 occurred while loading the Java VM"

Environment

• XCOM™ Data Transport® Gateway
• Windows Server 
• Linux PC
• Java build 1.8.0_60-b27 and higher

Cause

Starting at Java 1.8.0_60, the JAVA.EXE internal build is returned as "600" rather than "60".  The Install Anywhere Windows installer does not recognize this new format, preventing installation of the XCOM Gateway.

Resolution

The documented Software Requirements are 'JRE (Version 7) [64 bit] or Java JDK 7 [64 bit] on Windows and Linux x86-64. Installing with Java 7 is successful.
