SMPLJOB3 for Endevor ABENDS on F000 why?

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to install the Endevor Sample Application. SMPLJOB1 and SMPLJOB2 completed successfully.   When running SMPLJOB3 get these messages in the JES logs:

BC1PSERV: NTDRUTN QUERY    FAILED RC = 0004 FOR NAME/TOKEN #ENDEVOROPTS

BC1PSERV: F000 ABEND CODE=SERV NUMBER=0400                             

CA Endevor SCM Version: 18.0 Release: B1800C Increment: 18.0.06        

In addition also seeing these messages:

B1TS003S  TYPE SEQUENCE FILE ALLOCATION FAILED, RC=000C (HEX)           

C1G0055E  DATASET UPRFX.UQUAL.PARMLIB - ALLOCATION FAILURE              

B1TS011E  TYPE SEQUENCE TABLE HAS ERRORS ON DSN=UPRFX.UQUAL.PARMLIB MBR=GLBLTYPE

B1TS012E  TYPE SEQUENCE PROCESSING IS NOW DISABLED.                     

 

 

 

 

Resolution

The key message is "B1TS011E  TYPE SEQUENCE TABLE HAS ERRORS ON DSN=UPRFX.UQUAL.PARMLIB MBR=GLBLTYPE".

This indicates that the C1DEFLTS was left to the defaults for PARMLIB and TYPESEQMBR fields. These 2 fields should be updated with the valid parmlib dataset and member names.
