Issue/Introduction

Question:

After I start the CA Testing Tools common component for GUI CAVHSRVR server, I am getting severe error message as port number out of range as follow.

SEVERE: Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class com.ca.intertest.services.IntertestServletContextListener
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: port out of range:99999
.at java.net.InetSocketAddress.checkPort(InetSocketAddress.java:155)
.at java.net.InetSocketAddress.<init>(InetSocketAddress.java:197)

I set up correct port number when the HLQ.CAVHJCL(CAVHDPLY).
I am not sure where this port number 99999 comes from.
How do I correct this?

 

Answer: 

The port number 99999 comes from BLSPORT setting on HLQ.CAVHOPTN(CAVHUOPT).
This BLSPORT number used for SYSPLEX set up environment.
Some times site restriction not to use highest port number such as 99999.
Set BLSPORT="XXXXX" to correct the problem.
