Issue/Introduction

Question:

We get these error messages when retrieving an element:

C1G0203I RETRIEVE ELEMENT MYELE01
C1G0211I VERSION 01 LEVEL 05
C1G0204I FROM ENVIRONMENT: ENV1 SYSTEM: SYS1 SUBSYSTEM: SUBS1
C1G0205I TO DSNAME: MEMBER: MYELE01
C1G0232I OPTIONS: OVERRIDE SIGNOUT

C1G0151E RC - 0000 UNABLE TO READ JOB FILE CONTROL BLOCK FOR DDNAME
C1G0277I RETRIEVE PROCESSING TERMINATED BECAUSE OF THE PREVIOUS ERROR

What does this indicate?

Environment:

z/OS

Answer:

This indicates that the element in the base file has been corrupted.

Additional Information:

It is recommended that you contact CA Support to find out the cause of the corruption.

It is also recommended that you run a VALIDATE utility to ensure no other elements are corrupted.

Normally the only way to resolve a corrupted element is to delete the element and add the element back into Endevor.
