Issue/Introduction

Question:

I have SECPNL files in my CA Datacom/DB environment, and cannot find anything about them. What are they, and are they still needed?

Answer:

The SECPNL file was used to store panels for the online Internal Security system in CA Datacom/DB r9.0 and earlier. Internal Security (using the SXX) was dropped in Datacom r10.0.

Since this feature is no longer valid, you can remove the file and the FCT entry from any CICS regions that still have them.

As always, please contact CA Technologies support for CA Datacom if you have further questions.
