Issue/Introduction

In VCF 9.0.x, VCF Automation is supported to be deployed in a Workload Domain.

Starting with VCF 9.1, VCF Automation is required to be deployed in the Management Domain only. This placement model is enforced by VCF Operations 9.1 and Fleet Management.

In a deployment where VCF Operations has been upgraded to 9.1 while SDDC Manager, vCenter, NSX, and VCF Automation remain on 9.0.x, the existing VCF Automation 9.0.x deployment in the Workload Domain is reported as non-compliant.

A migration of VCF Automation 9.0.x from the Workload Domain to the Management Domain is required before proceeding with the remaining VCF 9.1 upgrade.

Environment

VCF Automation 9.1
