Question:
In CA InterTest CICS, can we execute the transaction VRPT via batch?
Answer:
No we don't have a batch job that mimics VRPT, but you don't have to run VRPT in all of your regions.
VRPT's job is not to show that InterTest is "OK" (although there certainly can be error messages in OPTION 1 if a program is missing and what not). It will show the modules assembly date and time stamps, values of options, etc...basic stuff.
What you would see if you did run VRPT on all 100 CICS regions is that *many* would be identical, because there are possibly groups of regions that point to the same load libraries.
If you have say 5 different load libraries, then run it in 5 regions that point to them. Then you can compare reports to make sure they are all at the same level by comparing assembly dates and times.
