QREVIEW abends with S0C4

Issue/Introduction

Question: 

 Several CVs get S0C4 abend executing task QREVIEW.  It works fine on some CVs.  

All CVs are running the same IDMS release software.

 

Answer: 

 In this case the client had old Cobol II runtime modules in a loadlib concatenated in front of CEE.SCEERUN in CDMSLIB in CV startup JCL.

 The only library from which LE Cobol runtime modules should be loaded is CEE.SCEERUN.

  Removed the older Cobol runtime modules and QREVIEW ran fine.

 

  We have also seen this 0C4 running QREVIEW due to an as yet undetermined problem automatically loading several key LE runtime modules.

  We found that defining PROGRAM IGZEINI, IGZCPAC and IGZCPCO in sysgen circumvents the problem.

  As of this date SE/DEV is researching to see why these PROGRAM defs are required only for certain CVs.
