Issue/Introduction

Issue:

Changes were made to RACF definitions for CA 7 and had to ‘bounce’ CA7ONL to pick up the new definitions.

Resolution/Workaround:

In the CAS9 CAIRIM procedure the CAIRACF DD which (as documented) points to a member created by the user, called RACFLIST, the following statement would be defined…

RACFCLASS PANEL,PA@EL,FASTAUTH=NO

Do this for any other classnames. The CCS r14.1 Release Notes provides the default restable with the classnames and whether a FASTAUTH is done or not. There is also an example at the end of the table for the RACFCLASS statements.

By following the above instructions you should then be able to have RACF changes picked up by CA 7 without restarting.

Additional Information:

As always, please contact CA Technologies support for CA 7 if you have further questions.
