Issue/Introduction

 Receiving a:

 EZD1287I TTLS Error RC: 442 Initial Handshake 359

When trying to establish an SSL connection with TELNET.
ESM is Top Secret.

 

 

 

Resolution

Explanation per IBM:

442 Multiple certificates exist for label.

Explanation: Access of certificate/key via label could not be resolved
because multiple certificates/keys exist with the label.

User Response: Correct certificate/key store so that label specifies a
unique record.

After removing certificates not being used on the keyring and recycling the TCPIP started task, the SSL handshake was successful.
